This research is to present the experimental study to verify a performance of long-span girder bridge with under-tension system. Typical long span structures having beam and girder members are resulted to increased moment and bigger member sizes. The under-tension system can be an effective structual system because this by allowing the cables to resist some portions of the loadings. In order to evaluate the serviceability and ultimate strength, two experimental under-tension models that consists of 10m×2.4m was built and tested. From this experiment, the behavior of the structure with or without under-tension was evaluated from the experimental study. The main emphasis of this study is on the serviceability and ultimate strength of the under-tension system. The behavior of the structure with under-tension system was also discussed. It was investigated that a deflection of the experimental model was decreased, when tension force of the cable was increased.
