This study aims to examine diverse aspects concerning the education of "communication" (meaning here, comprising both speaking and writing) in France and to ameliorate the education of speaking for the students in Korean university. The education of communication in France is performed throughout the whole public education and all of the disciplines, which is possible in part by means of the "transverse approach". In this paper, the French education of communication as well as education system showing a considerable difference, compared with those of other countries is investigated by and large.
The capability of "speaking" and "writing" is trained mainly, by four representative types of communication, exposition, text explanation, composed comment, dissertation and finally, evaluated by Baccalaureat. There is no education of "communication" for students in French university. The reason is explained by the following: first, the education of communication in France is performed throughout the whole public education and all of the disciplines; second, all of disciplines and linguistic activities are designed to be integrated each other; third, the communicative capability continues to be evaluated by all sorts of exams.
