Recently, corrosion environment in Korea is being more and more severe caused by salt, calcium chloride for deicing during the winter and acid rain. And customers also want good corrosion performance to avoid red rust in their vehicles. According to changed environment and customer expectation, car makers have concentrated on their effort to improve vehicle corrosion performance. To meet corrosion requirement, GM Korea has studied all of areas, design, sealing & protection and paint since the initiation of new car program. To validate and develop corrosion performance, we need to define corrosion environment of each market. This is one of corrosion environment study at global market.
