The purpose of this study was to analyze the historical landscaper of Chanewon region through the old map.
The characteristics of historical landscape of the Changwon in the late Joseon period are as follows. first. The map was centered on the township, which is the administrative center of the local county. second. The layout of the village was placed in the background of Jusan(Main Mount"), and the natural landscape was set as the background of the human landscape, giving a hierarchy symbolizing the social authority in the traditional view of nature. third. It is a public building which is the main element of the human landscape. It is the central element of the national institution, such as the governance building, the ritual space, the educational space, the station and the temple.
