This study is aimed at analyzing the behavioral characteristics of scenery experiencers in scenic road which draws attention in terms of its role and applicability as scenery of local community and tourism resource. Humans are the main bodies of visual perception of roadscape which is closely related to characteristics of human behavior. Therefore, this study tries to establish the theory of behavioral characteristics of pedestrians and drivers as the typical main bodies of scenic road experience depending on experience settings, and to clarify the visual perception system and experience characteristics of each experience body. With pedestrians and drivers as the main bodies of landscape experience in scenic road, landscape experience can be classified into scene landscape and sequence landscape depending on their view point fixation, and divided into internal landscape and external landscape depending on experience point or place. As the influential factors on landscape experience types, there are “natural factors”, “artificial factors”, and “selective factors”. The move speed, experience point, and experience place of pedestrians and drivers mainly reviewed in this study are “selective factors”. Through this study, it was possible to clarify the visual perception system and characteristics of pedestrians and drivers depending on their scenic road experience settings. The study results are expected to be used as a fundamental material for the visual perception system of each experience body in a relevant and future study.
