Among the large area lighting which highlights psychological aspects, the light floor as a lighting system, in which light is projected upward from the floor, has a wide variety of uses, such as direction lights for nighttime movement, and auxiliary lighting for directing, etc., and its use area is expected to expand up to the residential space as future lighting for the time to come. The main purpose of this study is to make the basics of living room light floor production planning in the light of user sensibility by limiting its evaluation environment to a living room among the residential space, and the study results are as follows: First, as a result of factor analysis, the evaluation environment was classified into 4-factor axis of (pleasant · refined), (cozy · soft), (exotic · unique), (splendid), among which factor 1, i.e.(pleasant · refined)axis was found to have the biggest influence. Also, the (pleasant· refined) image was the most highly evaluated at the correlated color temperature of 4500K. Second, the preferred lighting production in time of its application to the living room light floor was the most highly evaluated at 4500K 300 lx, and 6000K 300 lx; in addition, 300 lx was found to be the most suitable visual work performance illuminance in the light of preference.
