The purpose of this study was to prove the effects of new-sports on health-related physical fitness of elementary school students. The subjects in this study were 50 students of 6th grade in D-elementary school which located in J city, J province. The experimental group was composed of 25 students with 25 in the control group. Creative experiential activities in accordance with new sports program were conducted in experimental group, and the control group continued existing creative experiential activities. Data management was performed using SPSS 18.0, and frequency analysis and two-way ANOVA were used. The experimental group’s improvement was much greater than that of the control group’s in a long-distance running, trunk flexion forward, grip strength and BMI. In conclusion, it was found out that new-sports activities produced a meaningful difference in physical fitness of elementary school students. Therefore, if effective new-sports program are to be implemented in school, it will have a positive influence on physical fitness.
