This study examined the structural relationship among player-leader behavioral fitness, exercise commitment, and perceived exercise performance in tennis players. The purpose of this study was to analyze the descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical packages. Based on the results, the following conclusions were made. First, athlete-leader self-management fit has a positive effect on exercise commitment. Second, athlete-leader match type was found to have a positive effect on exercise commitment and a positive effect on perceived athletic performance. Third, player-leader personality matching had a positive effect on exercise commitment.
Fourth, exercise commitment had a positive effect on perceived exercise performance. Leaders should not only insist on leadership styles based on their own experience, but also consider the individual characteristics of players and strive to build a positive relationship based on consideration and trust. If you improve your toughness and qualities, you can expect the best performance. In addition, efforts should be made to improve leadership, leadership efficiency, and athletic performance through the development and application of psychological skills training to improve the relationship between the athlete-leader and the quality of relations and to improve the level of behavioral coherence.
Fourth, exercise commitment had a positive effect on perceived exercise performance.
