In this study, the architectural walkway represented by Tadao Ando was studied and the characteristics of Tadao Ando’s space and the characteristics of the walkway in modern times were analyzed. It interprets various aspects such as the analysis of phenomena that appear in a person’s hands-on behavior and the recognition of their surroundings through them. Furthermore, through a comprehensive study of his architectural works, he seeks to express the interrelationship between human and architectural spaces through intuitive thinking about the architectural walkway of Tadao Ando. To this end, we first analyze Tadao Ando’s values and creative ideas. This represents the basis of Ando’s architectural creation ideology from the contradictory way of expression of coexistence and the entrenched spirit that appears in architecture. Geometrical forms and exposed concrete, architectural aesthetics and rhyme and natural elements are the key expressions of Eastern cultural meaning in Ando’s architecture and represent the whole process of architecture. Also, Ando has his own unique views and expressions of nature. This shows the idea that Ando wants to create architecture in various ways in the surrounding environment based on modernism and traditional Japanese architecture. Next, the composition features of the architectural walkway were analyzed. The architectural walkway is based on nature and people in the process of the creation of space. By combining basic forms such as the analysis of phenomena and the memory of humans in the space by architectural structure and copper, it can form a natural space, human empirical behavior, communication, and represent the essence of abstract object with human dialectical relationship in architectural space. Finally, the analysis of the own characteristics of Tadao Ando’s architectural walkway is comprehensively organized. Ando pursued the art of shaping the entity and in building the architectural space, his pursuit expanded into a space of “uninfinite.” Through this, I would like to help to make an example of modern space creation by integrating the implications and significance of Tadao Ando’s architectural creation.
