Purpose: As air pollution increases due to industrialization and climate change, the role of indoor air purifiers is becoming more important due to the increase in fine dust outside the air. It is expected that it will be difficult to cover the entire area of the indoor space with one or two commercial air purifiers used at home. Method: In this study, in order to operate several air purifiers indoors, a low-cost, self-made (DIY) air purifier was developed that is easy to process and has a low filter replacement cost. The measurement of particulate matter removal performance according to the increase in the number of air purifiers in operation was conducted at indoor multi-points. Result: Through multi-point measurement, it is determined that the distribution of the indoor fine dust concentration changes according to the direction of indoor air flow under the condition of no forced ventilation. As the number of air purifiers in operation increased, the rate of reduction of particulate matter increased. In order to keep the average concentration of particulate matter low in the entire indoor area, it will be advantageous to increase the number of air purifiers in operation.
