Bacterial cellulose (BC), an eco-friendly nano-biomaterial, has attracted extensive attention due to its unique and robust physical characteristics such as excellent chemical stability and high purity and crystallinity, etc. These fascinating features make BC an ideal precursor for the production of highly versatile three-dimensional nano-carbon materials serving as a tunable and flexible scaffold materials. The low yield and high production cost are the challenges for the industrial production of BC.
