This study investigated 151 Korean high school students’ satisfaction with their native speaker teacher at a high school. Their levels of satisfaction were explored by a 5-point Likert scale that included 20 items related to English teaching in class. The subjects’ responses were submitted to the Winsteps program, which is one of the Rasch model software programs. The Rasch analysis indicated that more than half of the subjects were likely to be satisfied with every teaching strategy. In addition, the analysis showed that there existed four groups of items that gave some insights concerning the native speaker teacher’s teaching English in class. These four groups consisted of satisfaction with 1) the relationship with the native speaker, 2) the native speaker’s teaching method, 3) the native speaker’s intercultural understanding, and 4) increased confidence in English. Overall, there exists the need for more research on effective motivational strategies held by both native and non-native speaker teachers of English.
