Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation (100-280 nm) is a disinfection method to kill or inactivate microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. In this study, UVC-lamp sterilization of Bacillus atrophaeus on glass and tile was investigated. Bacillus atrophaeus spores were diluted with 10<SUP>6</SUP> CFU/mL in PBS buffer and 50 μL of spore solution was loaded on a 1×1 cm glass piece or vitrified ceramic tile. After the sample was dried overnight, UVC-lamp irradiated on a each sample with 1 hr.
