This study investigated the cognitive types of Korean verb realization that Koreans have by using the Q methodology. The types of cognition of Korean verb realization were divided into three types, and the different cognition systems and the distinctive features of each type were revealed. Type 1 is the ‘non-acceptance of Pattern 4," in which the withdrawal of the verb meaning on Pattern 4 is not allowed, but the withdrawal of the verb meaning on Pattern 1 and Pattern 2 is accepted. Type 2 is the ‘non-acceptance of Pattern 3," whose type does not allow the withdrawal of the verb meaning on Pattern 3, but they are the same as Type 1 in that they accept the withdrawal of the verb meaning on Pattern 1 and 2. The third type is the ‘non-acceptance of Pattern 4&1," in which only the verb meaning on Pattern 2 can be withdrawn, and the verb meaning on Pattern 4 and Pattern 1 are not allowed to be withdrawn.
