The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the architectural planning of creative studios by analyzing the spatial arrangement and access process within the studios. As the number of studios that support creative activities for writers has increased in modern society, this study aimed to analyze the spatial arrangement and access process within 14 creative studios in Korea and abroad. The analysis included the types of entrance locations, exhibition room locations, and workspace locations, as well as the process by which visitors and artists reach these spaces. The results showed that the most common type of entrance used by visitors and artists were different. Visitors typically entered through the entrance and passed through the lobby to reach the exhibition room located on the first floor, while artists entered through the entrance and then used stairs or elevators to reach the workspace located on the second floor or higher. This study’s results can be used as a fundamental data for future architectural planning of creative studios.
