To address the deficiencies in the national defense specifications in the 『’23-’24 National Defense Specifications Conformity Review and Specifications Improvement Project』, a study was conducted to improve specifications for central procurement items subject to inspection. By manufacturing prototypes of fuel filter elements, analyzing materials, conducting performance tests, and creating new drawings, the quality assurance activities of KIPOM were improved to resolve the dissatisfaction of the demand group. Specification improvement activities for insufficient defense specifications can improve the operational rate of defense supplies and reduce life-cycle costs by supporting the operation and maintenance of defense supplies. Through the defense specifications compliance review and improvement project, unreasonable specifications can be updated, and different specifications from the actual product can be aligned to respond to changes in the acquisition environment. Therefore, continuous development is necessary in the future.
