Human cognitive activity is a process of accepting and processing external information, which is divided into linguistic information and image information according to which type of information it is. To investigate whether these characteristics are reflected in the process of color preference, we studied how the provision of specific color information affects the color preference in the future. In this experiment, 100 female college students were divided into two groups, and both groups completed color preference questionnaires. To one group, we gave positive information about the previously disliked yellow red color. To the other group, we gave them positive information about the green color. We gave the information in a text format. The color preference questionnaire was conducted several times. The change of color preference was analyzed by replacing only text information with image information after 4 weeks. As a result of an analysis, first, after providing the positive information about yellow red and green, it showed that the color preference for the two colors had increased. Second, it showed that the color preference had increased when the type of information was first provided as an image and then finally as text, regardless of the color. Third, when the green group’s information was provided to the yellow red group, which had a low preference rate in the first experiment, it resulted in an increased preference rate on the second experiment, regardless of the information provided.
