The come-and-go phenomenon between categories is the most clear difference of verbs between the 15th century and contemporary Korean, such as both intransitive and transitive verb, both intransitive and adjective verb, both adjective and transitive verb etc. The phenomenon has been reduced from 15th century to contemporary Korean, which is the most important change of syntactic structures. It is described that the construction change is due to the changes of word formation like the usage of causative verbs and the development of passive verbs and `V-어 ㅎ.다`. In particular, the development of a passive form, `-어 디다`, induced the numerous intransitive uses of both intransitive and adjective verbs to disappear. For the reason, in the modern Korean, the majority of both intransitive and adjective verbs can be realized by the uses of adjectives only. On the other hand, the disappearance of intransitive uses can be explained as the phenomenon that the ergativity of both intransitive and adjective verbs has faded away. The development of a passive form has reduced the realization of the ergative construction. From the discussion up to now, it can be seen that the change of word formation has a significant effect on the change of verb construction. This means that the syntactic change is closely related to the morphological change. Therefore, further works related to the change of construction should be investigated with the morphological change form.
