The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated operation model of architectural design tasks as problems to be solved and operate 2,3 year architectural design studios of 1<SUP>st</SUP> semester 2016 based on the model. Some implications were made and suggested for future architectural design education professionals. Three theoretical perspectives were discussed in depth to compose the model. First, design tasks were interpreted as problems from the constructivist point of view. Second, uncertainty theories were introduced to show how to control the difficulty of design problems and present each problem to the learners in a step-by-step manner. The model suggested that the control of uncertainty(i.e., levels of difficulty) can be made in 2 consecutive steps. The first is in the design problems development stage, and the second is in the problem solving(task performance) and learning support stage, respectively. Levels of uncertainty deduced from design problems were assumed to be controlled in 4 consecutive ways in the design problems development stage; (1)learning objectives-based class theme, (2)design theme as design methodology, (3)design methods, and (4)design contexts. Finally, operation strategies of localized educational contents-based architectural design tasks were suggested. The model showed how to use locally driven natural as well as cultural assets as design subject or tools.
