This study aimed to analyze the use patterns and errors in adverbs of degree in writing by Korean learners and search for effective education plans for them. The analysis results of their use patterns show that a majority of learners only use certain adverbs of degree instead of various ones. They made many errors with word order, substitution of adnominals and adverbs, and also substitution of synonyms when using adverbs of degree. The study proposed some education plans by error type to help learners reduce errors and encourage them to use various adverbs of degree, which include education on the syntactic functions of adverbs of degree to prevent errors with word order and substitution of adnominals and adverbs and on synonyms between adverbs of degree to prevent errors with the substitution of synonyms.
