The double negative sentence is one kind of means in common use in the description undoubtedly.
In the Middle Archaic Chinese, the double negative sentence is used frequently. The double negative sentence is weaker than the general affirmative sentence in tone.
This essay is to examine the double negative sentence of Middle Archaic Chinese in the view of the development history of Chinese language.
On the basis of initial statistics in Middle Archaic Chinese double negative sentence, Compose the distinguishing feature to be divided into two types on the basis of such as: 1. Negator₁+Negator₂ and 2. Negator₁+Auxiliary verb+Negator₂.
On this base, these double negative sentence through the grammar and semantic meanings has been analyzed.
