This study analyzes the translation process and the cultural translation. Many researches have studied the culture specific items as a main theme, and Holmes (1994) provided the basic frame of the translation process. However, only a few studies have shown the translation processes incorporating with culture. This study provides the concrete examples of how culture is working on the translation process, and shows the distance between the source text and the target text. The translated text in this paper has a specific purpose targeting the readers from the beginning and the translation process closely reflects the initial purpose. Furthermore, the translation process shows that the logicality of the source text should be modulated by the target culture; in the process of translation, the low context statements in the target text should adopt filler sentences to mitigate the gap of the high context culture. Consequently, this paper shows an example of the translation process and the translator's pivotal role in translating with giving priority to the readability in the target culture.
