This study attempted to investigate the lexical changes in modern Korean for about 70 years targeting the Dong–A daily newspaper big data. In order to explore the lexical changes contained in the contemporary language of modernity, it was proposed to closely examine the frequency of frequency of word use. In particular, words that were first discovered and continue to be used afterwards were dealt with in terms of lexical generation, and words that were rarely observed after a certain period due to a decrease in frequency were discussed in terms of lexical disappearance, including some words that changed their meaning through context changes without morphological changes. Through this, several aspects of the lexical changes in the modern Korean could be explicitly revealed along with the timing of the change, and it was suggested as a future task to supplement various genres and methods in the future.
